Pat has directed communications for AHFA, a trade association with more than 300 members, including manufacturers, importers and suppliers to the residential furniture industry, since 2000. She oversees print and web-based communications for the Alliance, and also assists in handling inquiries from consumer and business journalists.

Kathryn heads Dovetail Partners Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing authoritative information about the impacts and trade-offs of environmental decisions. She has worked on development and forest management issues in a range of organizations, including" Geographic Information Systems, Community Forestry Resource Center, Minnesota Society of American Foresters (chairperson),  Minnesota DNR's Stewardship Committee, and Forests for the Future Committee. Kathryn also has worked with the Forest Guild, and in 2011, she became a member of the Board of Directors for the Sustainable Furnishings Council.
