Fanuc's New Remote CNC Control

By Rich Christianson | 02/15/2013 8:56:00 PM

Fanuc FA introduced its next generation of CNC controls at IMTS last November in Chicago.

Paul Webster, CNC engineering manager for Fanuc FA, quickly summarizes benefits of the Series 30i/31i/32i-MODEL B, which allows users to monitor their CNC machines remotely using pPads and other tablet devies. Webster says remote monitoring enhances the maintainability and production capabilities of a Fanuc CNC congtroll device.

In addition, the Series 30i/31i/32i-MODEL B CNC can act as a web server. CNC screens can be displayed on any device on a network; such as over wireless Ethernet to communicate with a tablet-type device. As a result, maintenance and production personnel can monitor all CNC equipment from across the shop in one location and on one device.
