Custom woodworker James McNabb is also gaining fame as a bandsaw artist working in wood. New Yorker magazine used his work to illustrate promotions for a recent lecture series, and devotes its latest Sketchbook page to his Manhattan cityscape, photographed by Grant Cornett.

McNabb's visibility is also rising through adept use of social media platforms, including his ruminations on woodworking at his Wordpress blog.

He describes McNabb & Co., his Philadelphia workshop, McNabb Studio, as "a design studio dedicated to developing only the highest quality home furnishings and decorative arts. We work directly with clients to produce heirloom quality products with a distinct attention to detail and craftsmanship."

Edgy furniture designs break the mold incorporating venturesome geometries and high resolution digital imagery with laser engraving. McNabb's City Series is a collection of wood sculptures that he says represent a woodworker's journey from the suburbs to the city.
