Lumber Liquidators (NYSE: LL) says it continues its support of No Barriers USA, an organization committed to inspiring disabled individuals to realize their potential with no barriers to what they can achieve. Lumber Liquidators Foundation Builds for Future

No Barriers traces its roots to blind adventurer Erik Weihenmayer, who decided he would scale Mount Everest in 2001. After becoming the first blind climber to scale the world's tallest mountain, Weihenmayer co-founded No Barriers in 2005

Tom Sullivan, founder and chairman of Lumber Liquidators, backed Weihenmayer's 2001 ascent to the summit of Mt. Everest, and has supported him since in his role as board VP of No Barriers USA.

"The obstacles disabled people face everyday with courage and determination make what the average American stresses about pale in comparison," says Sullivan. "Lumber Liquidators is very proud to support No Barriers and their beneficiaries who consistently inspire us to be better."

Weihenmayer says Lumber Liquiator's backing helps "break down barriers for these individuals, and empower them to explore what's possible – whether that means climbing a mountain or just getting up the stairs."

Lumber Liquidators, through its Lay It Forward foundation, is also a major sponsor of the biannual No Barriers Summit since that started in 2007. Noting that the guiding principle of Lay It Forward is supporting organizations that will benefit generations to come, Sullivan connects that vision the enduring quality of hardwood flooring. "Installing a hardwood floor is an investment by homeowners – it lasts for years and grows in character," is how the company puts it. The list of organizations that have received support from Lumber Liquidators is impressive. Visit  LayItForward.LumberLiquidators.com.
