“We have actively advertised for quality help and have increased our pay scales to become more competitive,” says Bradley Cohen, vice president.

The recent addition of a new finish sander for prepping trim in the finish process will also aid in improving productivity and profitability. The company also obtained an additional vehicle for making small-scale deliveries to customers. 

An AWI Premuim Certified manufacturer, SMW also finishes and installs both commercial and residential casework, millwork and fixtures, including plastic laminate and wood casework, countertops, solid surface and stone. Among its LEED-certified projects is this curved main entry stair for Sage Electronics, featuring FSC-certified maple for the handrails and paneling and treads made from reclaimed elm.
