Ward Wildanger of Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets, Campbell, CA, is a finalist in the 2015 Top Shelf Design Awards competition with his project “The Dream Garage” entered in the Garage: Under 600 square feet category.

Project Description: The customer wanted a low maintenance garage with everything behind doors and no clutter. The cabinets provide organized storage for camping, golf and ski equipment; a rolling work bench with stainless steel top; a cabinet to conceal a water softener and filter and spaces for wine storage. Rollout trays behind doors provide space for food and other kitchen goods.

Project Construction Details: The walls, electrical, and plumbing work was performed by Hammerschmidt Construction of Los Altos, California

The cabinets were designed, manufactured and installed by Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets of Campbell, California

Materials Used: White melamine interiors from American Laminates

Pionite ST617 Beige on all exposed doors, toekicks, and finished ends

Equipment and/or Software Used: CabinetVision Solid design software was used for the design. Materials were cut on a Holzma panel saw and edgebanded on a Homag edgebander. Parts were machined on a Weeke BP150 point to point machining center.
