Panel Talk Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

You may have noticed something a little different about Panel Talk today: for the month of October, Panel Talk is turning pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is a campaign to raise awareness for a disease that impacts so many families around the world.

This is a worthy cause championed by many organizations through pink initiatives, and Timber Products Company is happy to participate in the effort.

At the same time, we are also kicking off a special look at Women in Woodworking over the next few months. Women are a growing segment of the woodworking and wood products marketplaces so our goal is to foster conversation around opportunities, challenges and the future for this important part of the workforce.

Be on the lookout for:

  • A special Women in Woodworking webinar on Nov. 5 with a panel of women woodworkers
  • A Twitter chat discussing some of the challenges facing women in woodworking
  • Short blog posts and videos with women in woodworking who are making significant contributions to their organizations

We hope you share these events with your staff, and particularly female members of your team who are interested in participating.

If you have any employees who would like to share their stories, please send me a note.

How are you and your organization recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month or women in woodworking?
