CHICAGO - At NeoCon 2016, Arborite has curated a selection of residential products with crossover appeal from commercial markets to create Commercial Stones.

These laminates emulate engineered stones, concretes, marbles, and travertines, lending a range of looks from modern and industrial to chic and elegant. The Commercial Stones collection was thoughtfully developed to encompass 14 designs that are especially usable for contract settings such as office spaces, retail establishments, and education environments.

“There’s a strong trend in commercial design right now leaning towards more of a residential, comfortable look," Arborite President Salvatore Rivera explains. "Offices especially are attempting to blur the line between work and home. Commercial Stones offer this look, but with a durability and price structure in line with large-scale commercial projects.”

The designs include both small- and dramatically-scaled options inspired by stone’s natural beauty. The marbles and travertines are especially striking; to create these, the Arborite team purchased and scanned full slabs of stone to replicate the natural veining and wear that these finely aged pieces have.
