FRISCO, TX - Corn Board Manufacturing Inc., which makes panel, board, and manufactured products from corn stalks, says skis and snowboards made with its CornBoard product will now be branded and sold by WorldVentures, a travel service that produces adventurous vacation trips.

Located in Frisco, TX, Corn Board Manufacturing's CornBoard is a structurally engineered board product using the leftover corn-stover after cornfields have been harvested. Putting its CornBoard to use, Corn Board Manufacturing produces pallets, strand board, and  the StalkIt brand of skateboards, skis, snowboards, surfboards and standup paddle boards. It has been used to produce closet panels and furniture.

In 2010, the Sherman County, TX, Development Committee funded Corn Board Manufacturing's prototype production facility in Stratford, TX to produce CornBoard.

Corn Board uses technology licensed from the University of Illinois, for mixing resin with corn stover to produce the panel. In 2011, Corn Board also licensed patents from Mississippi State University to use kenaf, a quick growing fibrous plant similar to bamboo, for use in replacing wood products in engineered pressed board.

"The relationship between our two companies makes good business sense," WorldVentures co-founder Wayne Nugent says. "Our focus is on incorporating some of Corn Board's sustainable products into what we extend to our members and independent representatives as part of DreamTrips Marketplace."

WorldVentures will market its version of the snowboards and skis to its customers, selling them under its WorldVentures and DreamTrips brands at WorldVentures' events and from DreamTrips Marketplace online. WorldVentures sells vacation club memberships and has customers in 28 countries.

"Our StalkIt brand of skateboards, skis, snowboards, surfboards and standup paddle boards are a perfect combination for WorldVentures' adventure-themed DreamTrips," says Corn Board Manufacturing CEO Lane Segerstrom.
