Roseburg Forest Products Invests in Dillard Sawmill
Roseburg Forest Products Names Mulbery VP Manufacturing

Roseburg Forest Products Invests in Dillard Sawmill DILLARD, OR  - Roseburg Forest Products says new capital expenditures at its Dillard, OR sawmill will allow it to use a broader range of fiber in its panel manufacturing process.

Small-diameter logs, commonly referred to in the business as “whips and tops,” will be the target raw material for this project.

“We see this as an opportunity to strengthen our commitment to adding value to the raw material source in our area,” said Grady Mulbery, VP Operations, in announcing the investment.

In addition to adding a small-log processor, the project will also include an upgrade to the log merchandising systems. The planning for that project is underway, says Mulbery.

Closely-held Roseburg Forest Products, with land in the Northwest and Southern regions of the United States, manufactures lumber, particleboard, softwood and hardwood plywood, engineered wood products and specialty panels.
