Nepa Pallet Acquired by Universal Forest Products

SNOHOMISH, WA - Universal Forest Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: UFPI) closed on its previously announced acquisition of Nepa Pallet and Container Co., Inc., a manufacturer of wood pallets, crates, containers and bins for agricultural and industrial customers.

Founded in 1937, Nepa Pallet had been owned by the Sherry family for almost three decades. Sales last year were $25 million. Patrick Sherry, co-owner and president of Nepa, will remain as general manager of operations.
