GRAY, KY - A fire was reported this morning at Forest Products, Inc., a sawmill and planing mill in Gray, KY.
With reports that a sawing operation was destroyed, the local Times-Tribune News said fire departments from West Knox, Keavy, Woodbine, Campground, Lily and Corbin, KY battled the blaze, complicated by high winds.
In June 2010, a fire at Forest Products destroyed 150,000 board feet of lumber within the sawmill's kilns, plus 100,000 feet of green wood awaiting the kiln. Damages approached $2 million including lumber, according to media reports at the time.
