ERIE, PA - American Lumber expanded its customized hardwood ripping services at its Smyrna, NY and Leitchfield, KY mills.

American Lumber’s customized hardwood ripping program for production of ripped-to-width strips targets manufacturers across multiple industries including cabinetry, furniture, moulding and flooring offering additional benefits that increase yield and reduce cost.

American Lumber says expansion of customized ripping into two facilities means it can now offer maximum volume of ripped strips from its entire inventory of species, grades and thicknesses available.

American Lumber also offers a Custom Grades Program that  can provide high quality lumber solutions that exceed traditional NHLA grading parameters. Custom Grades, available on a regular basis for shipment around the world, are designed around specialized color sorts, yield improvement products, or specific wood manufacturing requirements.
