Wood Manufacturing Employee Killed by Sawdust Accident

A wood manufacturing company employee was killed when the cab of his truck was accidentally filled with sawdust. OSHA is expected to investigate the incident, which took place at Chips Inc., a wood pellet manufacturer near Zion Crossroads, VA.

An MDF Armchair Was Inspired by Marilyn Monroe and CNC Routers

Furniture maker Alexander White says his Monroe Chair armchair, made of MDF, was inspired by the iconic image of Marilyn Monroe's blowing skirt in scene in the Bill Wilder's 1955 movie, "The Seven Year Itch." It exploits the a nesting CNC router making repeated cuts from a panel.

California Drought Toll: 12 Million Trees and Counting
