COMMERCE, CA - A new fun feature of the 2012 Woodworking Industry Conference will be an auction of woodwork made by employees, friends of member companies and WoodLINKS USA supported students.

WoodLINKS USA Benefit Auction; Donations SoughtWe are asking leaders of members companies to assist in the collection of donations. Maybe you have an employee that is an accomplished carver, turner or box maker. It is our hope that you could arrange to acquire a piece for the auction. The maker and the donor company will be recognized at the event.

The proceeds of the auction will benefit the WoodLINKS program, www.woodlinksusa.org, which has been a favorite cause of WMMA, WMIA and AWFS, sponsors of the WIC.

The first two commitments to the auction have been made by Jim Laster of Newman Whitney Machine Co. who is an accomplished luthier and Frank Kobilsek of Black Bros. Co. who will donate a turned and carved bowl.

Rick Hill, Executive Director of WoodLINKS was excited to hear of the plan and has committed to provide a couple pieces made by WoodLINKS students.

If you have questions or wish to communicate your willingness to donate please call Frank Kobilsek at 815-866-5757 or via email at [email protected].

Thanks for your support in making this an entertaining and worthwhile event.
