The Wood Component Manufacturers Association (WCMA), the nation’s premier trade association for component and dimension manufacturers, is pleased to announce the addition of new board member Steve Waltman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Stiles Machinery, to serve on the WCMA board of directors as the Ex-officio Technology Partner Representative. Steve will serve a two (2) year term and will help inform the board on issues important to Technology Partners.

The WCMA Technology Partnership program serves to connect manufacturers and importers of woodworking machinery, equipment, tooling, supplies, software, business solutions, etc. to WCMA member companies who are qualified buyers of these products & services. This program gives representatives the opportunity to meet with manufacturing members and provides a forum to educate them on the latest advancements in their products and services.

Stephan W. Waltman, vice president of marketing communications and a corporate officer, has been with Stiles Machinery Inc. for over 30 years. Waltman joined Stiles as a salesman and was promoted to Vice President in spring, 1989. Waltman is credited with expanding Stiles’ sales and marketing team, increasing their access to sophisticated sales tools, and streamlining internal processes to help improve customer satisfaction. As an industry veteran, Waltman has traveled extensively for Stiles and is credited with establishing the Stiles brand as the premier North American supplier of machinery and related services.

An active member in the industry’s trade associations, Waltman has served on the board of directors for the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI), the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals (ACSP), the Association for Retail Environments (ARE), and the Window and Door Manufacturer’s Association (WDMA).

He is a graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
