Randall Maxey Joins Board of Directors of Tools for Opportunity

Des Moines, Iowa - "We're pleased to have Randy join our organization," says Gene Pedersen, President of Tools for Opportunity. "He brings years of woodworking and teaching experience to our board," says Gene Pedersen, President.


Maxey started a technology consulting firm in the 1980's in central Ohio and has authored or co-authored several technology books. His life-long passion for woodworking took him to Des Moines, Iowa where he is currently Senior Editor for Woodsmith and ShopNotes magazines at August Home Publishing Company.


Maxey also builds custom furniture and manages several blogs. He'll be assisting Tools for Opportunity in their online and social media efforts.


Tools for Opportunity is a tax-exempt 501(3)(c) non-profit organization founded by Gene Pedersen.
