EAGAN, Minn.--- Norcraft Companies, Inc. (NYSE:NCFT), a leading manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry in the United States and Canada, today announced it has started an expansion of its manufacturing facility in Winnipeg, Canada to meet growing demand for its Urban Effects products throughout Canada and the United States.

The new capacity will further enable us to increase our sales and profitability in Canada as we more than double our manufacturing capacity, enhance our logistical and operational efficiencies, and position ourselves to better serve our customers."

Norcraft will invest approximately $7.1 million to add 78,000 square feet to the Company’s existing 56,700 square foot facility. The expansion will be focused on expanding the current manufacturing operations, reducing offsite warehousing and bringing back offsite shipping activities to the plant. The company expects the new capacity to be operational in mid-2015.
