GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Stiles Machinery and Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center are gearing up to see some familiar faces on Animal Planet’s hit reality television show TANKED this week. Representatives from Stiles and Mercy Health star alongside show hosts Wayde King and Brett Raymer of Acrylic Tank Manufacturing in an episode set to air Friday at 10PM EST on the Animal Planet network.

The crew from TANKED spent three days in Grand Rapids this September shooting the segment for the episode which follows Wayde and Brett installing a 12-foot acrylic fish tank weighing 7,000 pounds in the downtown lobby of Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center. The tank, which holds 700 gallons of water, features a unique bend in the acrylic in the front side and the Grand Rapids skyline etched and lighted in the back.

The upcoming segment places Wayde and Brett at Stiles’ Grand Rapids headquarters receiving consultation on products and process to improve the efficiency of their acrylic tank production. Then they’re busy at Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center installing the custom built fish tank which was donated by Stiles, and attending a fundraiser party which may feature several of the guests on the television episode.

“It was really exciting having them here in Grand Rapids for three days,” shared Stiles’ marketing manager Chris Dolbow. “Besides visiting our facility and seeing all that it has to offer, I think they really got a good feel for our great community and our mission for helping each other.”

"We are very grateful to Stiles Machinery and to the stars of TANKED for the aquarium," said Kenda Klotz, Clinical Service Director of Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center. "Our staff and guests have enjoyed this gift that demonstrates why it's great to be a part of such a giving community like Grand Rapids."

Friday’s TANKED episode will be split in two segments, sharing the spotlight with Wilmer Valderrama better known as Fez from “That 70’s Show”. TANKED airs Friday 10PM EST on Animal Planet.
