KBIS Announces Innovative Showroom Awards

Alpharetta, GA – The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is proud to announce its first ever Innovative Showroom Award. This award is designed to honor retail showrooms, serving the kitchen and bath industry, who deliver an excellent experience at the point of purchase. Of particular interest will be how the showroom touches all of the senses, creating an amazingly positive shopping and buying environment. KBIS is partnering with the Hearst Design Group (Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and Veranda) to produce the awards, which will come to life in the South Hall branded KBISNeXT™ area at the KBIS show in Las Vegas January 20-22.

“Our goal is to recognize retail showrooms doing a great job of creating an unforgettable experience for their customers,” said Brian Pagel, VP Kitchen and Bath Group, Emerald Expositions. “These awards will shine a light on the spaces, as well as their respective associates, who have created an extra special environment, setting the standard for our industry.”

Members of the kitchen and bath industry are invited to nominate showrooms they believe deliver an especially “delightful” experience. Nominations will be accepted through October 24 at: www.kbisshowroom.com

“The showroom experience is an essential link in the kitchen and bath design arena,” said Sean Sullivan, Associate Publisher/Group Marketing Director, Hearst Design Group. “Our editors work with designers and manufacturers to bring ideas and product news to our millions of print and digital readers. The magazines also partner with advertisers to further promote brand messages and points of distinction. A positive, engaged showroom experience benefits consumers as well as designers and manufacturers.”

Once nominations have been received, a public vote via Facebook will determine the top three candidates from the following categories:

* Independent Retail Showrooms Locations (1-5 showroom locations) - Small (1,000- 2,500 sq ft)

* Independent Retail Showrooms Locations (1-5 showroom locations) - Medium (2,500 – 5,000 sq ft)

* Independent Retail Showrooms Locations (1-5 showroom locations) - Large (5,000 sq ft+)
