Mark your calendar and save the dates! WMMA has announced details for the Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC), which it puts on each year in conjunction with the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA).

The meeting will be held from April 28 to May 2, 2014 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The host hotel will be the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort.

WIC, which has become known as “the one industry” conference, includes informative topics of interest to those in the industry. Speakers cover legislative issues impacting woodworking businesses, import and export issues, manufacturing and economic trends and more.

The meeting includes multiple ways to connect with those in the industry including Contact Tables (which allow for one-on-one meetings) and meetings of board and committees. In addition, associations recognize outstanding members of the industry including volunteers and others, with awards and other presentations. There are multiple receptions and networking functions as well as other special events to enhance the value of the experience to industry members.

Information is expected to be available shortly on special convention rates, activities and more. In addition, WMMA and WMIA will continue to keep the industry updated on any changes to the meeting program.
