Hot-air Edgebanding Technology for Ligna
Hot-air Edgebanding Technology for Ligna

In conventional edge gluing using hot-melt glue, thin joints can usually still be seen and, in the case of light edge material and panel decor in particular, these joints affect the furniture design. The invisible joint has made this a thing of the past as the color matching of the functional layer with the decorative material for the edge guarantees a joint-free transition from edge to plate. The results are glue lines in a quality that has never been seen before, and thus the ability to design first-class, high-quality furniture — even in the trade sector.

Hot-air Edgebanding Technology for LignaThe airTec unit from BRANDT makes it easy to tap into this trend. Coextruded edges are reactivated with hot air, achieving a joint-free result — the zero glue joint. In conclusion: BRANDT offers a solution that allows even the smallest shops to reproduce industrial quality.

There are two versions of the unit available:

• Version 1: The maximum feed speed is 15 m/min

• Version 2: This handles higher production output with a maximum feed speed of 20 m/min.

The BRANDT airTec unit is available on all machines in the 1200–1800 series, but can also be retrofitted following an inspection at the customer's premises. Combined with the standard glue application system as a double solution, with this unit BRANDT offers the ideal option to fulfill your customer needs.
