A 12-inch wood cutting bandsaw has been introduced by General International.

Featuring a sturdy welded steel frame and precision-balanced wheels for smooth, vibration-free performance, model 90-040M1 offers a maximum 12” inboard rip cut capacity, and a 6 1/2” depth of cut, making it ideal for most general purpose small shop applications. It retails at $599.

Weighing in at 165 lbs the 90-040M1 is equipped with a 2/3 HP, 120V, 6.4A motor. A simple belt and pulley system allows for easy selection between either 1444 or 3150 FPM blade speeds for excellent results in either hard or soft woods.

The 90-040M1 has a large 21 ½” x 15 3/4” full cast iron table that tilts up to 45° right, precision easy-adjust European style blade guide bearings, an easy-access blade tension knob, safety lock-out switch with removable key to prevent unauthorized use, and a unique multi-size dust port fits 4”, 3”, or 2” dust hose.

The unit is also comes equipped with a miter guide with aluminum cross-cut fence and a deluxe dual position rip fence system.
