GE Debuts Micro-kitchen at Dwell on Design L.A., June 20–22

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--GE (NYSE: GE) Monogram®, a leading brand in luxury appliance design, award-winning cooking technology and superior craftsmanship, will have a notable presence at Dwell on Design L.A., June 20–22. GE will debut its new micro-kitchen concept and the industry’s first connected French door wall oven, along with a collection of the latest Monogram appliances.

“At GE, we use great design to inspire consumers and solve their issues at home,” said Lou Lenzi, director of industrial design for GE Appliances. “Over the next 10 years, living spaces will change dramatically. We are thrilled to collaborate with Dwell on Design and industry attendees to showcase GE’s ideas on the future of kitchen design.”

Small-space living and the micro kitchen

In a thought-provoking presentation, Lenzi will explain how increasing urbanization and population growth are driving the need for smaller living spaces. Attendees will learn how living in small spaces doesn’t equate to a reduction in functionality, living standards or personal style. GE’s two concepts for a small-space kitchen solution will be on hand for an up-close demonstration.

Monogram product launches

The latest in GE Monogram product innovation will be presented by GE Monogram General Manager Michael Mahan. A new French door wall oven that combines exceptional ease of use with GE’s advanced cooking technology will make its debut at the show. The wall oven is the first French door configuration in the industry to be controlled by a smartphone.

Additional Monogram appliances, including a new dishwasher and French door refrigerator, Advantium® speedcooking technology and an induction cooktop, will be on display in GE Monogram’s booth 1401.

Other highlights

On the GE Monogram Innovation Stage, GE will present The Smart Kitchen of 2025, explaining how GE has imagined the technological enhancements that will change the way we live and how our homes will look a dozen years from now, and participate in The End of Invention as We Know It panel where GE and Quirky will discuss their recent partnership to develop a line of appliances with smart technology. Lenzi will also join designers in the discussion, Trend Watch: Color, Materials and Finishes in the Kitchen, that will explore all sides of the kitchen color spectrum and provide insights on what's trending in color, materials and finishes.

Dwell on Design L.A. will take place June 20–22 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. For more information about the show, visit http://www.dwellondesign.com.
