EasyClosets®, a leading online home organization solutions provider, joined Lin’s Linens to provide a bedroom makeover for a college student coping with cancer. Through their collaboration and support from other local companies, the bedroom was transformed into a peaceful, organized oasis designed to provide a calm and relaxing environment.

Lin’s Linens , a non-profit organization based in New Jersey, helps women diagnosed with cancer by creating nurturing environments where they can heal. The organization’s mission is to support women going through cancer treatment by providing a comforting retreat where they can rest after surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. EasyClosets’ support included donating a custom bookshelf storage system that surrounds the bed for a 21-year-old college student battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Employee volunteers donated their time to design and build an organization system that was completely customized for the space and her personal needs.

As a part of The Stow Company, EasyClosets participates in an annual corporate-wide initiative called the Stow Difference program. The program empowers employee teams representing each department to give a boost to causes that benefit the local community. The Stow Difference teams select charitable causes, then participate as hands-on volunteers to fund and implement projects that make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.

“We are committed to giving back in our local communities of Pine Brook, N.J. and Holland, Mich. Our Stow Difference Program presents our employees with an opportunity to contribute to worthy causes with their time and talents,” said Bobbie Locke, director of marketing and communications for The Stow Company, the parent company of EasyClosets.

“It’s an honor to be a part of the Stow Difference projects and to help those who need the peace and comfort that an organized room can provide,” said Mikey Masciarelli, designer for EasyClosets. Masciarelli worked with Lin’s Linens’ volunteer Kelli Chitti, owner of Interiors by Kelli design studio, to bring her vision for the space to life. “We designed the solution to include an open bridge above the bed, and side towers with adjustable shelving and drawers, creating built-in night stands on both sides of the bed,” said Masciarelli. EasyClosets’ intuitive online design tool, fast, one-day manufacturing and easy installation enabled the project to be completed in only a few days.
