Heavy-duty portable saw stand and table base is easy to carry, easier to use

The Centipede™ Portable Work System features a heavy-duty yet lightweight expandable steel support frame that sets up in seconds without assembly and folds down into a compact unit for easy transportation and storage. Constructed of multiple steel struts that rest directly between the load and ground, this portable work system supports an incredible amount of weight while keeping even the thinnest sheet materials from sagging. Each strut is moved in tandem with a series of steel cross bars flexible enough to absorb impacts and durable enough to ensure long-lasting smooth operation.

The Centipede Portable Work System will initially be available in two models:

Centipede™ Sawhorse

• 2’ by 4’ support closes to 6" x 9"

• 1,500 pound capacity, weighs 12 pounds

Centipede™ Support XL

• 4’ x 8’ support closes to 9" x 14"

• 3,000 pound capacity, weighs 33 pounds

Replaceable polymer P-Tops provide a work surface that help to avoid contact between the cutting blade and steel strut and accommodate the use of the included Quick Clamps, designed to keep materials in place, and X-Cups, which conveniently accommodate standard 2x4s for drop-in setup. Each kit comes in a convenient carry bag.

Portable versatility, endless possibilities

Ultimate Saw Stand & Oversize Work Bench

Supporting full size sheet materials without sagging, the Centipede™ Support XL provides greater functionality than traditional sawhorses, allowing for clean cuts with no struggling. The ability to secure materials in multiple locations turns a two-person job an easy task for one, saving time and money on the job site. As a 4' x 8' mobile workbench, the Support XL can support multiple bench top power tool work stations, long cutting jigs, or act as a job site home base - A place for important stuff, important stuff in its place.

Instant Table Space

Compact and lightweight, the Centipede™ Sawhorse can be stored virtually anywhere - in the closet, under the bed, or in a corner of the garage. Pairing it with a commonly found 2' x 4' project board provides a mobile table that will support pretty much anything that can fit on it in the trunk of a car. Perfect for everything from tailgating to a day at the beach; potlucks to farmer's markets - a truly portable table base that frees you from the concern of how much it can support.

Power of the crowd harnessed

Inventor Ed Adkins, and business partner Keith Fyhr introduced this innovative product concept in June 2013 with the launch of an IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign. By the end of a Kickstarter campaign in December 2013, they had earned the support of hundreds who funded a proof-of-concept production run. With factory samples in hand, the duo engaged supply and distribution partners throughout 2014 to arrange an international commercial launch that will see the Centipede™ Sawhorse and Centipede™ Support XL available in some of the world’s largest home improvement retailers less than 2 years after it all began.
