Benz Introduces New Expedite Service ProgramCHARLOTTE, NC – BENZ Inc. has announced service for customers who need immediate turnaround of damaged or worn tools. The company, which offers tooling system repair and maintenance services to customers in the metal, composites, wood and plastics industries throughout the United States and Canada, guarantees downtime will be minimized to 72 hours with the BENZ Expedite Service.

“At BENZ, we understand that our customers’ productivity and profitability depend on keeping their tools running,” said Chuck Shive, Technical Services Manager for BENZ Inc. “That’s why we provide customers in the United States and Canada with valuable support that includes repair and preventative maintenance. Our quick-turnaround Expedite Service can minimize costly downtime and keep production operating at peak efficiency.”

Explaining the process, Shive said, “After we do an appraisal, prepare a cost estimate and rebuild the damaged tool, we test all tools for flawless functionality. Upon request, BENZ will also overhaul and replace all worn parts. All reconditioned BENZ tools have a renewed one-year warranty.”

BENZ facilities include a temperature-controlled room designed to ensure stability for its measurement tools and parts and better tolerances for high-speed testing and repairs. Precision technology enables BENZ to measure specific tolerances to manufacturer specifications. BENZ maintains a wide inventory of original parts needed for repairs and can perform vibration analysis and balancing, grinding and machining for parts production and modification, and bearing run-in and replacement. Each BENZ quote includes an evaluation of all components, the replacement and machining of parts, and a detailed report with photos illustrating damage and estimated delivery dates.

In Canada, tooling system repairs are performed by MEC, a BENZ-authorized facility that provides complete, effective and fast service of AC/DC, high-speed servomotors and electronics, frequency inverters, vacuum pumps, multi-drills, aggregates, angle heads and live tools.
