Dremel Breaks Into 3D Printing Market With the Dremel 3D Idea Bui

NEW YORK, NY - Dremel, the leader in high-speed rotary tool technology, is entering the fast-growing 3D printing market with the introduction of the Dremel 3D Idea Builder.

The affordably priced printer is developed for the "everyday ingenious" -- hobbyists, inventors, crafters and "makers" of all kinds. With the launch the new product, Dremel unveiled the website www.dremel3d.com to introduce the printer to this audience, demonstrate its capabilities and inspire consumers to think about how 3D printing can fit into their lives.

The new site features information about 3D printing and the Dremel 3D Idea Builder, as well as an extensive catalog of models consumers can build with their printer. Dremel partnered with Autodesk, Inc. to offer print-ready 3D models and free design tools, which can be accessed on the site. Additional site features include:

"We're excited to move into the 3D printing market, and inspire consumers to use the Idea Builder to express their creativity and ideas," said Brea Keating, Dremel 3D brand communications lead. "The new website helps build awareness and momentum for the printer and is a critical step in the launch."

Dremel selected digital marketing agency iCrossing to design and build the new website. Using responsive design, iCrossing optimized the customer experience for the site across all devices.

"We are honored to partner with Dremel to help them launch this exciting new product, and create a website that connects their consumers with the right content at the right moments to educate and inspire," said Brian Powley, global president of iCrossing.

Dremel is driving traffic to the new website through a digital display media campaign. The Dremel 3D Idea Builder is available for purchase at Home Depot stores and on Amazon.com.
