JALISCO, Mexico - Mexican media outlets are reporting that Swedish furniture giant Ikea will open its first store in the country.

 

Ikea has said very little about its plans in Mexico, but is apparently opening a store and manufacturing facility in Jalisco, a state in the western region of the country. Informador is reporting that a three-year-long negotiation process took place between the furniture giant and state authorities and the municipality of Guadalajara. 

 

There are no reported incentives.

BOISE, Idaho - Boise Cascade, an Idaho-based lumber producer, will sell its lumbermill in Pilot Rock and La Grande, Oregon and its particleboard operations in Island City to Woodgrain Millwork.
