Flooring giant Mohawk Industries Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the IVC Group for approximately $1.2 billion. The Belgium-based IVC manufactures vinyl and laminate flooring products, and has operations in Europe and the United States.

Contract furniture maker Via Seating Inc. has acquired a new partner. Excelsior Capital Partners LLC said it has assumed a majority ownership interest in office chairs and lounge seating firm through a balance sheet restructuring.
