Germany's Häcker Küchen, a has ordered three IMA Klessmann fully-automatic Batch Size 1 production cells for the production of kitchen fronts, niche surfacing and side panels using new process engineering in laser edging.


Interfor Halts Production at Tacoma Sawmill

Interfor Corp. will curtail operations at its Tacoma, WA sawmill on May 22. The company cited high log costs and productivity-related issues. Market conditions and the time it takes to complete operational improvements will factor in a restart date.


Lowe's, Home Depot Earnings Rise on Housing, Remodeling

Home Depot and Lowe's both reported healthy sales first quarter, as the housing recovering and remodeling growth also continued. Housing starts rose 20.2% in April, the Commerce Department, to a rate of 1.135 million. March figures were adjusted upward.


A 24% Revenue Rise for Homag Group, Owner of Stiles Machinery

Homag Group sales revenue rose 24 percent to € 254.3 ($282) million. The manufacturer woodworking technology said during LIGNA 2015 last week that the acquisition of Stiles Machinery continues to positively impact revenues.
