Canfor Mackenzie Sawmill in $40 Million Upgrade
Canfor Reopens Sawmill; Invests $38.5M in Lumber Plant

VANCOUVER, BC - Canfor (TSX:CFP) says it is spending $40 million on sawmkill capital improvement projects totalling approximately $40 million to increase productivity and recovery at its sawmill in Mackenzie, BC.

Modifications and upgrades to the sawmill, kilns and planer are included in the plans.

"This announcement reflects confidence in our ability to operate an internationally-competitive mill in this community," said Don Kayne, Canfor CEO.

The project started this month with completion expectd in November 2013. All told, Canfor says it has invested $600 million in capital improvements in British Columbia forest products plants over the past three years, creatig 305 jobs. Canfor also has oeprations in Alberta, Quebec and North and South Carolina.
