TACOMA, WA – Buffelen Woodworking, a manufacturer of wood doors, is observing its 100th anniversary this year.

Buffelen Woodworking Celebrates 100 Years of Door MakingFounded in 1913 by Dutch immigrant John Buffelen, the Buffelen Woodworking prides itself on using advanced machinery technologies in tandem with hand assembly and finishing. Buffelen sells its doors throughout the United States, Canada and Japan. Its diverse product range includes exterior and interior doors, bi-folds, voluvers, sidelights and transoms.

CEO and General Manager Joe Guizetti, who started working at Buffelen as a summer job 40 years ago, said, "We have worked tirelessly over the years to provide our customers with a door that is built to last, made-to-order and delivered quickly. Our adherence to rigorous quality standards, endless custom options, and fast turnaround has enabled the company to create the 100 year-old legacy that we enjoy today - a legacy that we look forward to continuing long into the future.”

Guizzetti said Buffelen has been able to survive severe economic downturns, including the Great Depression of the 1930s and more recent Great Recession, by staying "true to our roots of traditional craftsmanship, while embracing the efficiency and precision that modern technology can provide.”
