TORONTO - Visitors will be able to try out portable power tools  at the Tool Zone, planned for the WMS 2015 Wood Machinery & Supplies Show in Toronto November 5-7 at the International Centre, Mississauga, Ontario.

An open area of tables with access to power for chargers and plug-in tools has been set aside at the convention center so visitors can do hands on trials of tools.

While tool companies and their dealers exhibit at WMS 2015, "We want to create a setting with enough space for people to maneuver and really try out the tools," says Bill Esler, show program coordinator.

"The new generation of cordless tools has brushless motors and super longer-lasting batteries. Attendees may be surprised at how robust they have become, will be of great interest to our attendees - who may not have been able to try them for professional applications," says Esler. "We're inviting all portable power tool manufacturers to bring their latest technology to the Tool Zone and let the attendees put them to use."

Registration goes live in April

It is expected that air-powered, plug-in and battery powered tools will be displayed in the zone. "Cabinetry installers, furniture and kitchen cabinet manufacturers, and architectural woodworkers use so many types of portable power tools - both in the shop and at the job-site," notes Esler. "This lets them test them in a professional setting."

Tool manufacturers that would like to sponsor an area in the Tool Zone should contact Rich Widick, show sales manager.
