WMS 2013 Loaded with Innovative Wood Products

Richelieu at WMS 2011Richelieu Hardware will once again display at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo (WMS), Canada's largest woodworking event, Oct. 24-26, 2013 in Toronto. The 2013 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo will deliver the goods and the goodies. Canada’s premier woodworking event, WMS takes place Oct. 24-26 at the International Centre in Toronto.

The Goods: Canada’s national woodworking event, Oct. 24-26 at the International Centre in Toronto, will showcase a wide range of woodworking machines, cutting tools, computer software, hardware, decorative board products, finishing supplies and equipment. The event will feature the most machines under power since WMS 2011, including a robotic nesting cell, many CNC machining centers, sanders, edgebanders and more.

The Goodies: In addition to being treated to a plethora of innovative technologies and products from around the world, WMS 2013 attendees will be able to dine in the expanded Hall 4 Restaurant and Lounge featuring a large selection of dining options and free Wi-Fi. What’s more, the Hall Restaurant and Lounge will serve free coffee and muffins between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. each morning and free soft drinks and snacks between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

As day two of the show closes at 6 p.m. on Friday, all WMS 2013 attendees are invited to join Akhurst Machinery at its 75th Anniversary Reception being held in the Aviation Ballroom outside of Hall 5 of the International Centre.

Free Seminars: WMS 2013 also will feature a free education conference spread over each of the three days of the show. The presentations will cover a variety of topics from key issues related to increasing profits and eliminating combustible dust, through increasing plant productivity and training new woodworkers. On Saturday morning, the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada will highlight the industry’s quality standards, including one session which will be presented in French.

Wood Tech Summit: Adding to the importance of WMS 2013 is the Wood Tech Summit Leadership Conference, set to take place Wednesday, Oct. 23, the day before the start of the show.
