MISSISSAUGA (TORONTO) - WMS, the 2013 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo opens in Toronto today, packed with big machinery running, and advance registration 50 percent ahead of the last edition.

The show features woodworking machines, cutting tools, software, cabinet and furniture hardware, board products, and more. manufactured by more than 250 companies around the world. The show's success reflects a resurgent wood manufacturing industry.

"This event truly is a "Wood Machinery Show," says Rich Christianson, WMS show director. "There is a great deal of equipment running on the floor, some of it for the first time in a North American woodworking trade show. Matching that equipment presence is a wider range of supplies in any Canadian wood industry exposition."

WMS has equipment, tools and supply presentations by exhibitors, and a wealth of woodworking educational opportunities.

A comprehensive education conference carefully tailored for professional woodworkers, including sessions on:

Revised Architectural Woodwork Standards presented in English & French

Controlling Combustible Dust from Your Plant

Boosting Productivity with CAD/CAM Software

Creating Mutually Beneficial Business Relations with Closet Professionals

The WMS 2013 Wood Machinery Show runs through Saturday, Oct. 26 at the International Centre in Toronto.
