Freeborn Tool Company is unveiling a new three-piece-insert cope and pattern set at IWF 2014 on August 20 - 23. Freeborn says the new design eliminates loose fitting issues between corresponding cuts.

While previous cope and pattern designs required machine operators to re-align shaper spindles frequently, the new three-piece set offers less-intensive adjustment options.

The set still features Freeborn's standard pattern head and single insert tip, but with the new two-piece cope head, users will be able to adjust the fit with shims between 5.5mm and 1/4".

Pattern tips can also be made by special order within the size range.

Freeborn Tool has been developing tooling for the woodworking industry since 1970. Products include brazed shaper cutters, insert cutters, spiral inserts, router bits, CNC tooling holders, and custom tooling.
