SCHAUMBURG, IL -- Top closet and storage designers and custom woodworkers were celebrated at the 2015 Cabinets & Closets Gala Awards reception, held April 15 at the Schaumburg Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center. The design awards presentation was sponsored by Timber Products Company.

Winners from Closets Top Shelf Design Awards, Custom Woodworking Design Portfolio (see full list of all winners below) and Timber Products' BEST Kitchen Design Contest were on hand to accept their awards. In its second year, BEST Kitchen Design contest awarded Linear Fine Woodworking, located in Phoenix, AZ, as its top winner.

Two Top Shelf Design Awards entries received perfect scores from the judges, making them both Overall Winners for the contest: DeVoe Martin, Affordable Closets Plus, Bangor, PA, for "Formal Dressing Lounge" and Janet Stevenson, Cabinets & Closets By Closet City, Montgomeryville, PA, for "Personal Boutique."

Bespoke, located in Larchwood, IA, was named Overall Winner for the 2015 Design Portfolio Awards for the project "Contemporary Art Deco Cabinets."

Top Shelf and Design Portfolio awards are given to honor designers for their creative organizational solutions and woodworkers for their outstanding design, craftsmanship and execution. Each category is intended to highlight functionality and originality, as well as design.
