SCHAUMBURG, IL -- Excitement filled the Schaumburg Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center, located 30 miles north Chicago, as the 2015 Cabinets & Closets Conference kicked off today.

With attendance more than doubled from the 2014 event, this year's conference featured three education tracks focused on Closets, Cabinets and Design.

The first speakers for the morning sessions included -- Closet Track: Skip LaBella from Closet America discussed his go-to-market strategy; Cabinet Track: David Buchsbaum from Beacon Woodwork gave tips on the art of pricing profitability; and Design Track: Paul Dillion from Porch.com gave an overview of data gathered from Porch.com users.

Afternoon sessions will continue with top speakers in each track with the day's events capped by an off-site plant tour of Plus Closets in Elmhurst, IL and a networking reception.

Cabinets & Closets Expo will kickoff, Wed. April 15. Highlights will include:

  • Continuous show-floor demos: CNC Technology, Panel Trends, Hardware Innovation, Post Expo Roundtables 
  • 3:30 p.m. Awards Presentation and Reception: Top Shelf, Custom Woodwork Design Portfolio, Kitchen Design, and Young Wood Pros Awards Programs
