ProScan is a new pinless moisture meter from Delmhorst designed for furniture and flooring manufacturers, and woodworkers. The meter features built-in species corrections by allowing the user to key in the specific gravity of the wood being tested. This feature makes ProScan especially appealing to anyone working with a variety of wood species. In addition, ProScan features a “HOLD” feature so that the operator can freeze a reading on screen so that it can be written down. It also offers a user adjustable alarm, and built-in calibration check. Delmhorst worked closely with a third party to verify the meter’s calibration on a number of different wood species to ensure the integrity of its readings.
