Chinese-Based Kitchen Cabinet Firm Opens US Headquarters

U.S. Go Goal Cabinets, a Chinese-based manufacturer of kitchen cabinets, has opened a U.S. headquarters in the Metro Atlanta area. The company is recruiting employees for its 3,000-square-foot showroom and 35,000-square-foot warehouse located in the Metro Atlanta area.

interzum Draws 57,000 Woodworkers Worldwide

More than 57,500 wood industry professionals from 143 countries flocked to interzum to view supplies and innovations for the manufacture of furniture, cabinets and related products, including flexible hardware and storage solutions, connectivity enhancements; and new laminate colors, textures and finishes. The four-day biennial fair took place May 5-8 in Cologne, Germany.

Lumber Liquidators' (NYSE: LL) says due to "mounting industry concerns relating to laminate products sourced from China, the Company this week decided to suspend sales of all laminate flooring sourced from China."

Despite a sales rise, Lumber Liquidators first quarter net income fell amid legal costs and the fallout from customer formaldehyde concerns after a 60 Minutes expose. CFO Daniel E. Terrell was let go. Separately Lumber Liquidators says it will not source flooring in China.
