BETHESDA, MD – The Adhesive and Sealant Council says woodworking accounts for 11 percent of global demand for adhesives and sealants. That figured is contained in the just-released North American Market Report for Adhesives and Sealants.
Published every three years, it covers the 2010-2013 time period. ASC estimates the global adhesives and sealants market at $40.5 billion in sales, with 3.3% annual growth rate through 2013. The North American adhesives and sealants totals $11.1 billion, with 2.2%
annual growth rate through 2013. The largest market is paperboard and packaging, at 33%; followed by building/construction at 18%
and woodworking at 11%.
