The Furniture Society and Powermatic Offer Workshop Scholarships

ASHEVILLE, NC — The Furniture Society, in partnership with Powermatic, announced that five students will be awarded scholarships of $2,000 to $3,000 to attend one-, two- or eight-week workshops in 2008 to the following schools: Anderson Ranch Arts Center (CO), Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts (TN), Center for Furniture Craftsmanship (ME), North Bennet Street School (MA) and Penland School of Crafts (NC).

The scholarships cover tuition, housing, meals and a travel stipend. Students must be currently enrolled in a full-time educational program or in an apprenticeship program of six months or longer.
