MONTREAL — Richelieu Hardware Ltd., a Montreal-based distributor of specialty hardware and building products, says it has acquired companies in Calgary, AB, and New York state to expand its North American distribution network, according to The Canadian Press. The company said it has acquired Paint Direct, a Calgary-based distributor of finishing products, stains, lacquers and various other paint products; and Woodland Specialties, a company based in Syracuse, NY, which sells high-pressure laminates, finishes and other products for kitchen cabinetmakers and the commercial woodworking market.
