Recalled wooden beads violate lead paint standard

S&S Worldwide has recalled about 1,000 units of these
wooden craft beads for violating federal lead paint standard.

WASHINGTON –

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the voluntarily recall of about 1,000 units of Flower and Insect Painted Wooden Beads imported by S&S Worldwide of Colchester, CT.

CPSC said the paint on the children's wooden beads contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. The beads were manufactured in China.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.
