LAS VEGAS-â Bosch Power Tools introduces the ROS65VC, the first random orbit sander to feature a vibration control suspension system, which dramatically minimizes vibration, and prevents hand fatigue making it the smoothest handling and most comfortable random orbit sander in its class.
Designed for sanding jobs such as rough or finish sanding on wood and composites, paint removal, and smoothing, cleaning and polishing composite materials such as solid-surface countertops, the Bosch ROS65VC provides the power, ergonomics, and pad size to tackle virtually any sanding application.
The ROS65VC has plenty of power, and its 3.3-Amp rating is higher than any of the key competitor models. No other sander matches the ROS65VCâs ergonomics package. The ROS65VC features multiple ergonomic soft grip locations for ultimate comfort, enabling two-handed operation. Beyond that, the Bosch-exclusive Vibration Control suspension system softens the connection between the gripping area from the motor and pad drive system to minimize vibration and maximize user comfort.
The new sander is the first to accept either 5â of 6â pads, featuring a high performance, soft microcellular hook-and-loop backing pad that conforms to many contours. Its pad dampening system helps prevent swirl marks, and a rugged die-cast aluminum gear housing with dual-bearing pad mount eliminates wobble and vibration for long-life.
The sanderâs dust collection system features a tubular Bosch Microfilter dust canister, an integrated paper filter and screw-off cap for easy emptying. Also included is a vacuum hose adapter for suction control.
The ROS65VC will be available in October, with three different kit options. All include the tubular Microfliter dist canister, vacuum hose adapter and pad wrench. The ROS65VC-5 includes a 5â backing pad and sanding disc, while the ROS65VC-5 includes a 6-inch backing pad and sanding discs. Both are expected to retail for $229-$239. The ROS65VCL will include both 5â and 6â pads and discs, plus a Bosch L-Boxx carry case that can be connected to other Bosch L-Boxxes for easy transport. The ROS65VCL is expected to retail for $299-$319.
