DEERFIELD, IL - Master Brands Cabinets newly developing parent has named its board, which will oversee the company when its splits from Fortune Brands, Inc. to form Fortune Brands Home & Security.

Master Brand Cabinets (including Aristokraft, Omega and Diamond Cabinetry, etc.) will spin-off from Fortune brands later this year, along with Simonton Windows, Therma-Tru Doors, Fypon synthetic wall mouldings and other units from Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE: FO).

When the spin-off completes of , current Fortune Brands CEO Bruce Carbonari said he will turn the reigns over to  David Thomas, lead Fortune Brands director. He will become non-executive Chairman of Fortune Brands Home & Security.

Carbonari led the Home & Hardware group (now known as Fortune Brands Home & Security) as it more than doubled sales to nearly $5 billion, who expects to take an advisory role for an unspecified time, called the spin-off "the perfect time personally to move on to new challenges.” Thomas has served on the board of Fortune Brands since 2000 and as lead director since 2007.
