ANN ARBOR, MI

  – KraftMaid Cabinetry has launched KraftMyStyle, a free iPhone application, intended to help consumers capture and share ideas with  designers, family and friends.

But the design application, which also works on iPhones and iPod Touch devices, will also bring the KraftMaid product branding closer to the purchase decision maker.

It also will help channel the broad selection of cabinetry, hardware and home organization offerings KraftMaid presented at KBIS, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show held in Las Vegas in late April.

At KBIS, KraftMaid launched its largest product collection to date— with more than 30 cabinet doors, more than 24 finishes and 100 hardwood choices. The 2011 cabinet collection are stained in variations that include maple, oak, cherry, birch and hickory. Solid colors such as Sage and Cardinal, plus new hardware in 12 options ranging from classic to contemporary in finishes like polished nickel, antique pewter with copper and dark brushed bronze, was also introduced.

KraftMaid says the KraftMyStyle app is an easy-to-use tool to aid in the cabinetry design and remodeling process,  allows users to capture photos and use them to create "Style Boards," photo collages from photos snapped on users’ iPhones.

Users can choose from three collage templates with varied photo layouts, then arrange their photos within the collage and add titles and descriptions. KraftMaid says it will expand the app so Style Boards can be shared on Facebook. KraftMaid Cabinetry also announced an integrated marketing campaign combining advertising with social media.
