Kiln drying course set for August at University of Minnesota
ST.  PAUL, MN — The 2009 Kiln Drying Short Course will be held Aug. 3-6 at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus. According to the university, the course is designed to provide basic training in the kiln drying of lumber. Conventional drying of hardwood species will be emphasized, however, other equipment and procedures will be discussed. Instruction will be provided by way of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on kiln drying experience with time reserved for group discussion as well as individual consultation.
