JELD-WEN to Close Pennsylvania Plant

SUNBURY, PA — JELD-WEN, a window and door manufacturer, is shutting down its Sunbury, PA, plant by March 31, according to The Daily Item. JELD-WEN has operated the Sunbury plant, which currently employs 94 people, since 1990.

“The company is offering employees opportunities to transfer to another nearby door manufacturing location in preparation for the closure,” JELD-WEN spokeswoman Teri Cline said, adding that employees were informed of the closure and encouraged to request transfers to the company’s Pottsville, PA, plant.
